Iran Warns Northern Israel Residents to Evacuate if Beirut Is Targeted

(MENAFN) Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has warned residents of northern Israel to evacuate the area if Israel proceeds with expanded military actions against Beirut and its southern suburbs, according to reports citing Iranian state media.

According to reports, the headquarters said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had issued threats to target Beirut and the Dahieh district in the Lebanese capital, including evacuation warnings for residents in those areas.

It added that if such threats are carried out, civilians and military settlements in northern Israel should leave the region to avoid potential harm.

In a separate statement posted on social media, the Intelligence Organization of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said Iran considers any escalation in Lebanon or Gaza to be a direct threat to its national security and to what it described as the “resistance axis.”

According to reports, the statement warned that Iran would respond through what it described as defensive measures, including the possibility of opening new fronts, while maintaining its stance on the Strait of Hormuz.

“Whoever sows the wind will reap the whirlwind,” the post said.
