New Explosions Rock Iranian Capital
Iranian media confirmed that blasts were heard across multiple districts of Tehran. State-run broadcaster IRIB subsequently reported additional explosions in the eastern sections of the capital.
The Israeli Army claimed responsibility, announcing it had launched a fresh wave of attacks targeting Tehran and the central city of Isfahan. In an earlier statement, the Israeli Army said more than 80 Israeli Air Force fighter jets carried out an additional wave of strikes against infrastructure belonging to the "Iranian regime" in Tehran and surrounding areas of central Iran.
The latest assault is part of a rapidly intensifying conflict that erupted following joint US-Israeli airstrikes launched on February 28, which killed more than 1,000 people — among them Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, over 150 schoolgirls, and senior military officials.
The strikes have unleashed sweeping regional instability, with Tehran launching retaliatory attacks against US-linked sites across the Middle East in the days since.
International alarm is mounting as the conflict shows no signs of abating, with civilian casualties and critical infrastructure damage continuing to climb across Iran.
