Iran Unleashes 22nd Wave of Strikes at Israel
The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), quoted Friday by an Iranian news agency, confirmed the latest salvo was part of a continuing and escalating campaign.
"The 22nd wave of Operation True Promise 4 has begun, using a large number of Khorramshahr 4," the IRGC said, noting the missiles were fired "directly into the heart of the occupied territories."
The Khorramshahr-4 is Iran's most advanced and heaviest ballistic missile, capable of carrying multiple warheads over long distances — its deployment in significant numbers signals a marked intensification of Tehran's offensive strategy.
Simultaneously, fresh violence erupted in Lebanon. An Israeli airstrike struck a residential building in the southern city of Sidon around midday Friday, according to Lebanon's official National News Agency. The strike hit the floor directly beneath the top level of the Maqassed building, situated near Al-Siddiq Mosque in the city.
Emergency services rushed to the scene in the immediate aftermath of the blast. Casualty figures and the full extent of structural damage had not been confirmed at the time of reporting.
